Trip to Boy’s Home of Virginia

Last fall, a group of St. John’s green-thumbs traveled to Boys’ Home of Virginia and planted 800 to 1,000 daffodil bulbs. As spring approaches, we are planning a trip to see the blooms! We have reserved a motor coach for 50 people to travel and see God’s grandeur and to be introduced to the work of Boys’ Home. The bus will leave at 8:00 a.m. arriving at Boys’ Home by 10:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. We will have a tour of the campus, visiting with Chris Doyle the new Executive Director as well as some of the boys. We will leave at 12:00 noon and travel a few minutes away to Clifton Forge to visit Jack Mason’s Tavern – owned by Dan and Vivian Payne’s daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Michael Foster. The $50 fee covers the bus and lunch. We plan to be back in Lynchburg no later than 5:00 p.m. Please join us to experience the sacred place that is Boys’ Home of Virginia!
