August 13 Blessing of the Backpacks + More Fun

Be sure to bring your backpack to our annual “Blessing of the Backpacks” on Sunday, August 13, at the 10:30a service. Afterward, we will celebrate the beginning of school with a treat from the Kona Ice Truck in our staff parking lot (through the Commons and Fauber Gallery or around the church on the Boston Avenue side). Our Day School Board will also have their annual playground cleanup after church, so if you have a few more minutes, please stop by our playground and lend a hand! Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries Lalla Johnson will be with children at Kona Ice and with some fun games afterwards; parents, we ask younger children to spend time with Lalla while we fix up the mulch and sand at the playground. Many hands make light work, so please plan to join us for the fun and to volunteer after worship!
